Every award show, run like it's live on air.
EventStudio designs and produces national award shows and galas — creative development, stage design, and direction for evenings that need to feel effortless, on camera or off. Based in the GTA, working across Canada.
What we handle
The full show — from red carpet to closing number — with the discipline of a broadcast crew.
Live direction & show control
Every cue, transition, and award presentation called live from the booth — built on cue sheets, a running order, and rehearsals we run with every presenter beforehand, so the room never feels the seams.
Stage & set design
Lighting plots, staging, and video mapping built for the room and, when it's televised, for the camera too.
Televised & streamed galas
National award shows produced for TV broadcast, live stream, or both — with a real director on the switcher.
Full event production
AV, run of show, and vendor management handled end to end, so the gala committee gets a partner, not a punch list.
An award show doesn't get a second take. We develop the content and running order, rehearse every presenter, direct every award presentation from the booth, and design a stage that photographs as well as it plays in the room — so the night looks produced, not just staged.
Who we've produced for

"Everyone absolutely loved the energy and craziness of the show."
Special Olympics — World Winter Games
"I've worked several times with EventStudio as they created unforgettable events seemingly out of thin air. The process is a pleasure, and the result is purely professional."

Common questions
Do you provide the on-stage host or emcee for the show?
With decades of hands-on experience producing awards dinners, festivals, corporate events, and large live productions, we know which personalities land well with specific audiences, venues, and formats. We can suggest proven hosts and talent, explain why they're a fit, and support the booking process so the stage presence matches the event you've envisioned.
Can you produce a live broadcast or stream of the show, not just the in-room event?
Yes — we direct live broadcasts of award shows and galas the same way we direct the room, with a director calling shots and graphics built for whatever screen the broadcast is going out on.
How far in advance do you need to be booked for a national award show?
Most award shows and galas are booked 3–6 months in advance, though we've taken on productions with tighter timelines. Booking earlier gives more time for stage design, production planning, and pre-production.
Do you handle stage design as well as production?
Yes. Stage design, pre-production, and full event production are all part of what we do. From the Canadian Music Hall of Fame to The Indies, we handle the complete production pipeline so the show looks and runs the way it should.
